Abstract

Blaenau Gwent & Caerphilly County Borough Councils provide a joint Workforce Development Team service for the whole Social Care Sector within Blaenau Gwent and Caerphilly geographical boundaries. The team provide learning and development opportunities to the Social Care Sector in Blaenau Gwent and Caerphilly. The Blaenau Gwent Caerphilly Workforce Development Team is seeking to enter into a contract for the training provision of Understanding Eating Disorders The target audience for this training is Social Work Practitioners and Support Workers working in Adult Services. The training opportunity you are invited to tender for includes the following learning outcomes: •To understand what an Eating Disorder is, and learn to be aware of signs and symptoms •To look at key facts and figures and causes and risks •To have an awareness of concurrent conditions, and have an overview of recovery and treatment available and look at managing physical health •To learn about the brain and emotional processing, myths and misunderstandings •To gain a knowledge of key interventions •Be able to look at case studies and gain further information of where to access support A minimum of one (1) session and a maximum of ten (10) sessions, to be delivered between October 2019 and March 2022. The course is full day in duration. Number of delegates per course: 25 (approx.)

Minimum standards and qualification required

This Procurement exercise is being run by the Authority's e-tendering portal Bravo Solutions https://etenderwales.bravosolution.co.uk.
