Description of the goods or services required
Wrexham County Borough Council is inviting suppliers of Audio Visual (AV) Equipment to provide information on your service offering to include detail on consultancy, design, procurement and installation services of Classroom Audio / Visual equipment to its schools. Please provide information of any experience you had in a schools setting.
Background / Current Situation
A major infrastructure refurbishment has been completed across all Wrexham schools along with significant investment from Welsh Government on user devices in schools. Wrexham County Borough Council provide a managed ICT service to all of its 70 schools that encompasses the following core services and provision:
• Networks and infrastructure
• User device procurement and management
• MIS and data, training, provision and support
• Audio visual equipment and teaching equipment
• School telecoms support
Wrexham works closely with Welsh Government and its Hwb EdTech strategy and has Hwb first approach to providing EdTech in schools. We use the Hwb EdTech national catalogue for the procurement of a range of EdTech equipment, including AV devices and screens so suppliers should also be able to offer installation services for AV equipment procured by WCBC or schools that has not necessarily been directly provided by them.
Video Conferencing / Online Learning
Schools use Microsoft Teams and Google for Education extensively for both onsite learning and teaching and also to support remote learning, therefore any solutions offered should be certified and or guaranteed to be compatible for both platforms.
