Abstract

This contract is for the provision of consultancy services related to technical farmyard and soil health assessment, with a focus on water resource management. We are seeking the services of a consultant with a proven track record in delivering environmental assessments to farm holdings, to provide technical farmyard (identification of potential pathways of pollution and the recommendation of appropriate solutions) and soil health (analysis of soil productivity with regards to levels of organic matter content and compaction and the recommendation of appropriate interventions) to 14 farm holdings within the catchment of the River Alyn in North East Wales. The locations and contact details for these farm holdings will be provided as the start of the contract. The successful consultant will provide individual reports on water resource management on farms and/or soil health recommendations to each farm holding to be delivered before 30th November 2022. As well as the provision of reports to each farm holding, the appointed consultant will be expected to plan and oversee contractors in delivering the recommended capital works as set out in the reports provided.
