Abstract
The University of South Wales Sustainable Environment Research Centre has designed a pilot scale bioreactor for the biofermentation of Hydrogen and Carbon Dioxide for the production and extraction of Volatile Fatty Acids (VFAs). The new pilot plant will be situated at the Hydrogen Centre, Baglan, SA12 7AX, inside a shipping container (20ft l x 8ft w x 9ft6 h external dimensions).
The University are looking for a contractor to complete the construction of the H2ACE pilot plant, including the installation of electrical equipment, Hydrogen, Carbon dioxide and Nitrogen gas lines, the details of which are set out in the sections of the attached document.

Description of the goods or services required

Summary of Specifications for Construction Work
Electrical Installation:
Installation of electrical supply from main building supply to shipping container;
Installation of ventilation system inside shipping container;
Installation of lighting system inside shipping container;
Installation of gas alarm system inside shipping container;
Wiring of electrical components inside container including instrumentation as per P&ID;
Electrical testing to standard for safety for process control;
Provision of electrical circuit diagrams;
Gas Installation:
Installation of gas supply (Hydrogen, Nitrogen and CO2) to container. Hydrogen supply will be from the existing pipeline on site, N2 and CO2 will be cylinder supply;
Installation of gas lines inside shipping container as per P&ID;
Gas lines must be gas tight and installed as per regulation.

3 Conditions for Participation

Minimum standards and qualification required
Responses are required from companies with a demonstrable track record of construction and installation of plants of a similar nature and that can meet the specification in full.
Responses are expected to clearly indicate:
a) a detailed description of how you would meet the specific requirements of the installation,
b) previous track-record of the company delivering similar products. Case studies/examples to be provided;
c) meeting the timeline as indicated in the gannt chart;
d) a full breakdown of costs including any additional items that are considered appropriate in order to meet the requirements of the installation
e) Agree and sign off on our Terms and Conditions.
