The Council currently operates a street lighting stock of 18,519 units (not including sign lights or bollard lights which total 3,835), the number of assets is likely to grow significantly in the coming years as The Council adopt lighting installed as part of new developments.

At the time of writing 2,945 of The Councils street lighting assets have already been converted to LED, not as part of a specific project, but due to the policy of only replacing failed, or end of life lanterns with LED alternatives.
