Abstract

The Vale of Glamorgan Council (“the Council”) requires half a mile of native bareroot hedgerow whip planting (“the Works”) within the counties of the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff i.e. 3500 individual whips with canes and guards. The planting will be broken into smaller linear sections of approximately 20 - 150 metres across the two counties. The Works will include sourcing and planting the product according to the Detailed Requirements in this document.

Description of the goods or services required

The Vale of Glamorgan Council (“the Council”) requires half a mile of native bareroot hedgerow whip planting (“the Works”) within the counties of the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff i.e. 3500 individual whips with canes and guards. Total quantity or scope of tender

The project is funded by the EU Rural Development Program grant scheme: Enabling Natural Resources and Well-being in Wales (ENRaW). The current phase of the GGW is scheduled to run until May 2023 with the possibility of an extension. Therefore, bareroot whips must be planted in this planting season (October 2022 - January 2023).
