Installation of Solar PV's including associated Works to Schools

2.2

Description of the goods or services required

The work involves the development of the design for Solar PV’s on roofs to 8nr Schools in the county of Conwy. The designs have been developed to RIBA Stage 3 and the Contractor is to develop those designs to RIBA Stage 4 and submit those designs for Client approvals. The work involves the complete installation of the system including all associated builders work. All schools will be occupied throughout the period of the works.

The following works are proposed but are not limited to:

-Develop RIBA Stage 3 Designs in accordance with MCS/ECA Guide to the Installation of Photovoltaic Systems

-Undertake Pre-Refurbishment Asbestos Surveys or area coving scope of work and submit findings to Project Manager

-Check existing roof structure and engage with Structural Engineer and submit calculations for roof loads

-Check fire integrity of roofing systems, roof structure, roof voids and ceilings and engage with a Fire Consultant during the design stage and submit Contractor proposals to comply with Building Regulations.

-Distribution Network Operator (DNO’s) G99 applications.

-Installation of Service trays

-Installation of Solar Panels

-Installation of fire stopping

-Builders work in connection with

-Electrical testing

-O & M Manuals

-Health & Safety File
