This procurement was undertaken as a mini competition against the Crown Commercial Services Framework Payment Solutions 2 RM6248, Lot 2 Prepaid Cards. The Requirement was for the provision of a pre-paid subsidy debit card to patients clinically diagnosed as requiring gluten free food products in Wales. The Scheme will enable approved patients to be issued with a pre-paid subsidy debit card to support the purchase of gluten free products. Prescriptions for gluten free food will no longer be issued to patients that opt to join the Scheme.

This procurement was undertaken as a mini competition against the Crown Commercial Services Framework Payment Solutions 2 RM6248, Lot 2 Prepaid Cards.
Lot 1 (Hywel Dda University Health Board) has been awarded to allpay Ltd and the contract will start on 01/08/2024 and will run for 3 years with a possible 1 year extension.
Lot 2 (Optional Award of Health Board Requirements) has been awarded to allpay Ltd. However, this is an optional lot covering all current non-participating Health Boards who wish to reserve the right to opt into the Scheme during the term of the contract for the provision of a pre-paid subsidy debit card to patients clinically diagnosed as requiring gluten free food products in Wales registered in the following Health Boards (contract term to be determined at point of variation of the original contract award and to be coterminous with the end of the original award of contract):
