Abstract

Grŵp Cynefin is proposing to construct a new three-storey Extra Care facility comprising 35 apartments together with communal areas as an extension to its existing Extra Care Facility in Ruthin, Denbighshire known as ‘Llys Awelon’. Notice Cancelled
This notice has been cancelled. The original deadline date of 08/01/2021 is no longer applicable.

Grŵp Cynefin have decided not to pursue the current procurement process in accordance with Section 2.5 of Section 3 of the Selection Questionnaire Instruction to Bidders, which states that:

The object of the selection process is to select a shortlist of Suppliers to proceed to the next stage of the Process (tender stage). The intended outcome of this process is to arrive at a shortlist of a minimum of 3 suitably qualified Suppliers for formal Invitation to Tender (ITT) to provide the Services. In the event that there are less than 3 suitably qualified Suppliers, the Authority may take through the number (less than 3) of suitably qualified Suppliers, provided that there is a sufficient number of Suppliers to ensure a genuine competition.

Unfortunately, assessment of the submissions revealed that only one candidate would proceed. This is insufficient to “ensure a genuine competition”.
