Recent document updates
Good morning all,

An error was noticed in the service specification covering holmes street and Windsor road.

The service spec had stated the hours as:

Service Spec
Holmes Street
Mon – Fri 9-6
9-2 Saturdays
Windsor Road
8-4:40pm

when in fact it should have read:

Holmes Street:
Monday- Friday 9-5
9-3 Saturdays
Windsor Road:
Monday- Friday
9-5

Please accept my apologies for the confusion caused by this.

I would also like to state there is some flexibility for varying start and finish times provided there is a need for it and its with the agreement of the SP Team. For example if there is greater need for support later in the day and not much support required in the morning on a project then times can be varied to start later and finish later.

TUPE information request
Hi all,

We recently received the following request on 15/01/21:

"We were hoping you'd be able to forward all of our TUPE clarifications to the incumbent provider on our behalf. We would prefer this to having us contact the provider directly because: 1. It enables the current provider to only answer a query once. 2. The portal provides a documented log of the clarifications we ask. 3. It maintains the anonymity of interested parties throughout the tendering process. 4. It ensures all clarifications are made available to all interested parties. 5. It ensures clarifications are received within a suitable timeframe."

Having consulted with colleagues in the Vale of Glamorgan Procurement Team and Vale of Glamorgan Legal department we have considered the request and decided that due to the significant increase in workload this request would entail and the potential risk it would involved to the Council that the Supporting People policy of referring TUPE queries to the incumbent provider will be upheld and the request denied. We stress that it is the responsibility of tender participants to gather relevant TUPE information for submission.

kind regards

Hedd Wyn John

Supporting People Coordinator
