The Carmarthenshire Clusters and Hywel Dda University Health Board have agreed joint funding from revenue for the provision of Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA) Training, Support, and Referral Programme for Primary Care Services.
Amman Gwendraeth Cluster, Llanelli and Carmarthenshire Town clusters are seeking to commission a specialist Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA) training, support, and referral programme for use in General Practices within the clusters. The initial contract is for a 2-year pilot with an option to extend for a further year with provision that should the programme be successful, it could be rolled out to further clusters in Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion.
The tender will be issued to the market as a reserved contract under Public Contracts Regulations 2015 Regulation 77.
Core service areas will include:
• Programme of on-going DVA training for Primary Care GP staff including clinical and administrative staff
• Provision of consultancy support for both Primary Care clinical and Administrative teams
• DVA and safeguarding care pathways for clinical teams
• Provision of a named contact for patient referrals
• Enhanced Referral pathways to specialist DVA services for non-gender specific victims and perpetrators of DVA
