Abstract

Supply of Electrical and Mechanical services, including small power and lighting to the Cheese CIP extension and new Whey Plant as part of work at South Caernarfon Creameries' site in Pwllheli. The electrical and mechanical installations will be to Food Industry and Client Standards. MEP/ M&E tenders are separate packages from the construction package but bids are welcomed as part of a build contract or a stand alone package. Contractors wishing to bid for both construction and MEP/M&E should separate the two proposals. The Client team is Integrated Food Projects as Project Manager and using Ursa Engineering as Design Consultants. The Contractor will work under the Principal Contractor for CDM, IFP will be the Principal Designer. The Contract will be the MF/1 Fixed Price contract. Interested Contractors will return Pre-Qualification Questionnaires via Sell2Wales. Tenderers will be contacted through the platform and then then approached directly about the opportunity. Tenders will be single stage competitive tendering over a four week period, the number of Contractors will be limited via this process.

Tenders are expected only from economic operators that can deliver the entire package proposed in this Contract and the Buyer will

be seeking certain performance guarantees from the supplier reference operational performance post implementation - in particular

regarding operating costs associated with utilities.

Due to the economic climate, the Buyer reserves the right to carry out additional financial checks on all companies tendering for the

Contract at any time during the procurement process, to ensure that they continue to meet the Buyer's requirements and remain

financially viable to perform the Contract. Any selection of tenderer will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement

and the contract will be awarded on the balance of technical merit and the most economically advantageous tender. The Buyer

reserves the right at any time to cease the tendering process and not award a contract or to award only part of the opportunity

described in this notice. If the Buyer takes up the this right then they will not be responsible for, or pay

for the expenses or losses, which may be incurred by any tenderer as a result. The Buyer undertakes to hold confidential any

information provided in the proposals submitted, subject to the Buyer's obligations under any law or to comply with grant funding

rules. If the applicant considers that any of the information submitted in the proposal should not be disclosed because of its

sensitivity then this should be stated with the reason for considering it sensitive. The Buyer will then endeavour to consult with the

applicant about such sensitive information when considering any external disclosure of that information.
