Tender for a Contractor for the Replacement of 12 Rear Porches at Appletree Meadow, Presteigne

Description of the goods or services required

Powys County Council is seeking to appoint a contractor to remove 12 timber porches and replace with UPVC windows and doors with single ply timber roofs at Appletree Meadow, Presteigne, Powys.

Tenderers should note on this contract that time is of the essence, and works must be complete by no later than 30th June 2022 (30/06/2022).

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

It is a Minimum Requirement of the Council that Bidders are:

Constructionline Level 2 registered with work categories and category values relevant to the subject matter of the contract.

Registered with an SSIP accredited scheme.

One operative on site at all times will be required to have Working with Non-Licensable Asbestos training. All operatives will be required to have Asbestos Awareness training.

Insurance requirements, note that you must have or agree to put in place by contract start, insurance to the following levels:

- Public & Product Liability Insurance - £5,000,000;

- Employer’s Liability Insurance - £5,000,000; and

- Professional Indemnity Insurance - £5,000,000 per claim.

Acceptance of the Appendix C – JCT Minor Works – Schedule of Amendments (as found under the Attachments Area of the eTenderWales Portal).

Confirmation that the Bidder can complete the works by Thursday 30th June 2022 (30/06/2022).
