|
2.2
|
Description of the goods or services required
The Hydrogen Centre of the University of South Wales (USW) (located Baglan Energy Park, Port Talbot, SA12 7AX, UK) is developing a pilot scale prototype as part of the WEFO-funded Reduced Industrial Carbon Emissions (RICE) project. USW requires a qualified/certified contractor to install the pilot plant electrical components and piping fittings.
The pilot plant is being built inside freight container sitting outside the hydrogen centre in the concrete compound, around the corner of covered pilot hall.
Once installed, the pilot plant will enable a range of experimentation and testing activities to take place to fulfil the RICE project aims, as well as providing a basis for further R&D collaborative activity, leading to industrial deployment of the technologies investigated and scientific publications.
Contractors are encouraged to visit the hydrogen centre to view and discuss this installation project during the period the tender is live.
