Description of the goods or services required
Caerphilly County Borough Councils Building Consultancy team is planning to carry out various building and extension works at CCBC sites across the borough.
Expressions of interest are sought from prospective contractors who can demonstrate that they can deliver the following schemes:
Lot 1
- Cwrt Rawlin Primary, Caerphilly - Childcare Unit on existing school site. Area 150sq m, budget £400,000
- Twyn Primary, Caerphilly - Childcare Unit on greenfield site next to existing nursery unit. Area 220 sq m, budget £650,000
- Pengam Library, Pengam - Childcare Extension onto existing Library building including interal works to library. Area 220sq m, budget £540,000
Lot 2
- Ysgol Ifor Bach, Abertridwr - Nursery Unit adjacent to existing school site. Area 130sq m, budget £320,000
It is intended to procure these using a JCT Design and Build 2016 contract. Building may be constructed using a modular system or traditional methods providing the performances specifications laid out in the tender specification are met.
Schemes will be tendered as two Lots to match the Welsh Government funding sources and each Lot will be awarded to one Contractor.
Programme is expected to be:
Tender: Jan 2022
Award: April 2022
Completion: Feb 2023 at the latest.
Tenderers must undertake all duties required as a Principal Contractor under the CDM Regs 2015.
