Title

Construction of Steel Framed Buildings, Entrance, Track and associated Groundworks

Description of the goods or services required

Construct a new entrance from the single-track highway, constructed to highways specification for a Typical Layout for Agricultural Accesses. Construct an access track approx. 4.5m wide by 85m long, suitable for heavy machinery and lorries.

Construct Building 1 - a steel frame building 18.288m x 9.144m x 4.572m to eaves (4x 4.572m bays). Roof & side cladding to be composite 40mm insulated box profile sheets (including skylights in roof). 100mm x 2m high concrete panels on all sides, with side cladding overlapping. Floor to be polished concrete. Building to incorporate an insulated roller shutter door the width and height of 1 bay. 1x Personnel door. Building to incorporate 1x 3.60mx3.60m office & 1x 3.60mx3.60m kitchen/staff room/toilet. Including electric fit out e.g. led lights, power points etc. and plumbing fit out e.g. toilet, sink, hot water etc. Include rainwater goods.

Construct Building 2 - 24.384m x 12.192m x 4.572m to eaves (4x 6.096m bays). Roof to be fibre cement with ventilation ridge and rain cap. 3 sides to be Yorkshire boarded to 2m high 100m thick concrete panels. 1 long side to be left open. Electric led lights to be included. To be included with the rainwater goods, a 10,000l rainwater tank to be installed to collect and filter roof water, with excess being diverted. Tampered concrete floor.

All buildings built to BS5502.

Approx. 475m2 of tampered concrete apron. All concrete to be reinforced with A393 mesh.

Associated groundworks and drainage.

Construct post & rail fence around development.

Tenders are invited only on the basis of the supplier being able to provide project delivery within a 9 month period from contract award.

Liquidated Damages - £2,000 per week or part thereof

Rectification Period - 6 Months

Retention Percentage - 3%

Contractor’s Insurance Cover - £2,000,000

Insurance Liability of Employer - £5,000,000
