Abstract

The Vale of Glamorgan Council (“the Council”) requires two feasibilities studies to support their ongoing project *The Green Trail a project funded by Enabling Natural Resources and Well-being (“ENRaW”) Green Trails Project lead by the Council. *The Green Trails project aims to pilot the delivery of a coherent network of green corridors within the South Wales Central region for the purposes of improving bridleway access and habitat connectivity. The project will also explores financial and practical measures to secure the long-term sustainability of that network.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council (“the Council”) requires two feasibilities studies to support their ongoing project *The Green Trail a project funded by Enabling Natural Resources and Well-being (“ENRaW”) Green Trails Project lead by the Council.

*The Green Trails project aims to pilot the delivery of a coherent network of green corridors within the South Wales Central region for the purposes of improving bridleway access and habitat connectivity. The project will also explores financial and practical measures to secure the long-term sustainability of that network.

Total quantity or scope of tender

These two (2) feasibilities studies are to support the development of the Green Trail.

• The first study as part of the RFQ is to produce a full feasibility study for an urban bike park to be built at Leckwith woods. (Appendix A) On appointment of the successful contractor full site plans / surveys will be shared that have been developed internally in the Council.

• The second a smaller desk based feasibility study as part of the RFQ based on the potential viability of a “Horse park” as a gateway to the trail and if such a product is viable on the Green Trails route.
