Notice Cancelled
This notice has been cancelled. The original deadline date of 23/02/2024 is no longer applicable.
The Trust has taken the decision to not award the tender. This is due to a number of issues surrounding the only bid received, including;
• Support is limited to 9 x 20mins calls and 2 x are in the first 2 weeks, and none of this is face to face and we did ask for a mixture of remote and face to face
• No L4 certificate- could be worked towards is in the comments but we really do need people who are trained in dealing with people with significant health burdens
• No individualised activity programme based this is a limited offer to one type of solution improving movement through tracking and goal setting to increase this. This one offer is not going to meet the needs of everyone in our service especially those at the higher weights that need some chair based exercises to start.
• Evidence base is in service users with a lower BMI that our client group hence they are starting from a better activity base than our client group
• No way of linking to local activities we would have to research this information for them
• Those that are not tech savvy can’t use this option and we do have quite a few who aren’t or would need significantly more support than 20 mins to run through it with them
• In the focus groups service users wanted more access to water based activity or low level specific activities that didn’t harm their health
