Cors Goch - Peatland Restoration

Description of the goods or services required

Provision of peatland restoration works for Snowdonia National Park Authority (SNPA) on behalf of the National Peatland Action Programme (NPAP). The works will be carried out at Cors Goch, a valley bog on the southern edge of Llyn y Gader between Rhyd Ddu and Beddgelert forest (see map below). Restoration of the site will be accomplished by blocking artificial ditches and improving previously restored ditches by creating peat dams and a series of small pools in the old ditches. Blocking 15.7km of ditches. 11.5km of these ditches were blocked by rolling peat banks in to the ditches, therefore they are now shallow drains (still requiring blocks).
