The supply of a cyber-physical multi-sensory dexterous human left hand palm emulation with full five functioning fingers, wooden communication base, robotic end effector base, and interface cable adapter to connect to the existing PCI card and the power supply for the already available hand in the robotics laboratory. The quoted hand firmware is to be upgraded to include API in ROS, C++, and Python software, with the ability to upgrade as well the current hand firmware available in the robotics laboratory to the same firmware level. The hand should be compatible with the right hand we already have in our robotics lab, type DLR HIT-II, to form a complete two hand set of humanoid robotic hands. The offer should also include upgrading the current PCI card and the PC used for control of the current hand and the new hand as well to the allow ROS, C++, and Python operation. The new hand and the old hand new upgraded complete software updates the PC and the PCI card firmware and the old hand firmware to allow the use of ROS software package for research and development simultaneously. The multi-sensory cyber-physical dexterous robotic left hand will be operated and used by Swansea University in the context of the IMPACT operations in the theme of Manufacturing Systems Engineering. The equipment is required to enable research into Robotics in Manufacturing as part of the Manufacturing Systems Engineering Adaptive Smart Specialisation of Robotics and Automation under Future Manufacturing Technologies as part of IMPACT. The robotic hand needs to be fitted onto and compatible with a KUKA robot, model LBR iiwa 7 R800 and include the control PC and associated software.
