Abstract
Hywel Dda University Health Board’s (HDUHB) Cardiology Services, with the support of the Digital Informatics Directorate have awarded a contract to facilitate the upgrade of their current cardiac rhythm management software utilised across the Health Board. This requirement is for an ambulatory electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring system, where an upgrade is required to maintain full functionality and compliance. The system allows all patients who have ECG monitors fitted to be reviewed, with results analysed to assess for further treatment or any rhythms picked up. The data recorded can be download and stored within patient records which can be accessed via Welsh Patient Administration System (WPAS) across all wards, emergency units, paediatrics and outpatient departments across HDUHB as well as NHS Wales to support a patient’s care journey.
The contract has been awarded via the NHS Supply Chain (NHSSC) Cardiac Diagnostics Equipment, Technologies and Related Equipment and Services Framework Agreement (2022/S 000-000127) which provides a compliant route to market.
