The Welsh Government is seeking to appoint a Contractor to construct the primary infrastructure required to serve the future development of Land at Ty Du, Nelson. The works include but are not limited to; the construction of 1.1km of new highway, associated drainage, utilities infrastructure and landscaping to facilitate future development and 0.6km of quarry access road. Construction of the scheme is programmed for completion by January 2019.
The site is situated approximately 0.5km to the south of Nelson town centre, within the County Borough of Caerphilly. The site covers an area of approximately 19.2ha and comprises pasture, woodland and historically parts have been used for a number of leisure facilities
