Abstract

Sport Wales wishes to commission an agency to undertake the following tasks in 2021-2022: 1. Questionnaire development: assist with the design and set up of bilingual and easy read questionnaires for the 2022 survey; including the testing and piloting of the questionnaires. 2. Contact management: manage a contact database of schools in Wales and send personalised email invitations and reminders to contacts to take part in the survey; follow up with schools that have not started the survey via alternative means during the fieldwork phase. 3. Web hosting: provide webhosting service for bilingual and easy read questionnaires; 4. Real-time monitoring and area level updates: Provide real-time monitoring of response rates (and number of outstanding pupil responses required) that can be accessed by Sport Wales staff and external partners working across Wales throughout the duration of the fieldwork. 5. Outputs and reporting requirements: Produce tailored automated reports for individual qualifying schools. These will contain the school’s results (unweighted) and will be provided to the relevant LA and school in electronic format immediately after the survey fieldwork has ended. Reports for sports and larger areas such as local authorities, health boards and education consortia (to be agreed) are to be produced following the weighting of the data. 6. Raw data: Provide Sport Wales with raw data exported for use in SPSS; 7. Derived variables: Produce derived variables as required (Sport Wales to provide syntax where available) and include these in the SPSS file. 8. Customer support: Provide integrated customer support to Sport Wales and partners (local authorities and schools) throughout the process, including a dedicated School Sport survey email address and a telephone helpline. 9. Technical risk management: Work with Sport Wales to manage potential technical risks within the overall project; 10. Liaison with other contractors: As part of this contract Sport Wales expects that the successful bidder will liaise directly with other School Sport Survey contractors as required.
