Abstract
The rising cost of farm inputs is putting increasing pressure on farming businesses in Wales.
HCC intend to determine what producers have done differently in their farming practices this year (due to the impacts of rising costs, and other challenges), and to also scope out what their intentions are for their farming business in the near future.
HCC requires the expertise of an external company to help design and script a short survey to gather this information from beef and sheep farmers in Wales. HCC will then undertake the survey by sending it to our contact list of red meat producers in Wales. The survey will be bilingual, and run over a short period of time (around a week) in order to gather information with limited external influences.
Following the completion of the survey, HCC will send anonymised results to the service provider for them to undertake the analysis of the data gathered, and produce a report displaying the findings. Following the completion of the first survey, HCC then wish to re-run the survey in around 6 months’ time in order to gather intentions again, and compare against the first set of results.
