The aim of this procurement process is for the appointment of a contractor for the replacement of the low voltage switch gear provision in the Main Building at Cardiff University along with the provision of temporary generators.

The works involve provision of the following electrical systems:

Low Voltage Switch Gear Provision

Power Outage Strategy and Temporary Generator Provision

Low Voltage Distribution System

Power factor correction equipment

Temporary Generator Connection Point provision

Energy Metering System

Earthing and Bonding

Internal Lighting Installation including Controls

Emergency Lighting including controls & testing system

All required handover documentation including as-fitted drawings, test certificates, O&M manuals, H&S file info

Additional Information

Access to the Procurement documents will close at 12 Noon on the 18th August 2023 in order for Site Visits to take place W/C 21st August 2023. Further details regarding site visits are contained in Schedule 2 - Specification.

All tender costs and liabilities incurred by bidders shall be the sole responsibility of bidders.

The University reserves the right to award the contract in whole or in part.

The University reserves the right to annul the tendering process and not award any contract.

All documents to be priced in GBP and all payments made in GBP.
