II.1.4) Short description
Cardiff University, School of Earth and Ocean Sciences are seeking a turn-key solution for a new shallow water multibeam sonar (MBES) and backscatter acquisition survey system that will enable us to obtain high resolution bathymetry and backscatter data sets. In addition, we require a new side scan sonar (SSS) and dual frequency single beam echo sounder (SBES). These systems will be used on our 11m Research Vessel (RV) Guiding Light.
The SONAR systems are to be used for teaching and research projects related to seabed bathymetry, seabed feature detection, seabed visualisation and habitat mapping.
