Abstract

Cyngor Gwynedd is preparing to go out to tender for the Fixed Electrical Installation Testing Services Contract. - Cyngor Gwynedd will be inviting tenders from contractors to undertake the work of fixed electrical installation condition testing and reporting in the Council’s buildings (commercial and domestic) across the county of Gwynedd (North West Wales) which are managed by the Maintenance and Compliance Service - Housing and Property Department in the Council (approx. 350-400 buildings)*. *May be subject to change, before or during the time of the contract. - The fixed electrical testing will need to be undertaken in accordance with the CLAW Schedule for Periodic Testing of Fixed Electrical Testing, and Cyngor Gwynedd’s specific requirements, which will be noted in the Specification document. - Some key competencies that the successful contractor must have, include, but are not limited to, the below: • NICEIC or ECA accredited (or equivalent) • Fully qualified electricians - The contract will be for a period of 5 years. A brief timetable detailing what buildings should be tested within each year of the contract will be provided within the tender documents, and the successful contractor will need to provide a more detailed testing schedule prior to contract commencement. - The tender exercise will be held on eTenderWales, and a Contract Notice will be sent via Sell2Wales when the tender is live which will note the ITT reference for eTenderWales. - It is expected that the tender will go live around the 17/03/2023, however the Council reserve the right to change this date.
