II.1.4) Short description
NHS Wales Shared Service Partnership Procurement department on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board wish to inform the market of their intention to award an interim three month (with option to extend for another 3 months) contract for the Inspection, Testing and Servicing of their Decontamination Equipment, whilst the Procurement Services and Capital, Estates and Facilities department evaluate and finalise the responses received to their full OJEU tender and award for a three year period with option to extend 1+1 year.
All works to be undertaking by ISO 9001:2015 UKAS accredited contractor. SGS certificate issued by an International Accreditation Forum.
Contractor registered with SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement).
Only genuine manufacturers parts to be supplied for all servicing and / or completing breakdowns. Equipment reliability can be seriously affected by using non OEM parts.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
All reusable medical devices used in acute settings across the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (CVUHB) are reprocessed in a Medical Device Directive accredited facility, these services for the CVUHB are provided by the Hospital Sterilisation and Disinfection Unit (HSDU) and Sterile Services Unit (SSU) departments. It is essential that both units and their associated equipment is cleaned, maintained, calibrated and tested on a regular basis.
Audere Medical Services has previously provided the vast majority of services to the health board via a formal contract undertaken by the NHS Supply Chain Maintenance Framework, which covers the maintenance element only and not include parts and labour. All works to be undertaking by ISO 9001:2015 UKAS accredited contractor. SGS certificate issued by an International Accreditation Forum. Contractor registered with SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) and only genuine manufacturer’s parts to be supplied for all servicing and / or completing breakdowns.
