2 Contract Details

2.1 Title

Upgrade of Play Area at St David's Crescent

2.2 Description of the goods or services required

The Vale of Glamorgan Council (“the Council”) requires works to upgrade St David’s play area in Penarth.

2.4 Total quantity or scope of tender

The Works include the following activities.

• Design of new play area.

• Removal of some existing play equipment, surfacing and site furniture

• Supply and installation of new play equipment, surfacing, site furniture, and any other works to complete the approved scheme

• Reinstatement as necessary

All Works must be undertaken in accordance with the Council’s brief and drawing supplied and approved contractor’s plan

07/06/2022 14:55	SUB BASE REQUIREMENTS FOR PROPOSED WETPOUR We are aware that the base of the artificial grass surface is a concrete pad. This can remain instead of providing MOT Type3 sub base for the wetpour however we will need to improve the SUDS provision as advised by an engineer. This work will need to be carried out under instruction of the Landscape Architect using existing contingencies.
