This procurement relates to the provision of the containment, transportation, processing, recovery and reporting of carpet waste from designated collection facilities (DCFs) on behalf of the CLAIRE Wales Group of Local Authorities comprising of:-

Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council, Caerphilly County Borough Council, Newport City Council, Pembrokeshire County Council, Swansea City Council.

Total quantity or scope of tender

The fundamental purpose of the Contract is to secure a current and operational facility which provides a reliable, effective and satisfactory service for the processing and recovery of the CLAIRE Wales Councils’ carpet waste. This household carpet waste includes the following:

• Carpets, underlay and associated materials.

o Made from synthetic and / or natural materials

o In such condition as is deposited by residents to HWRCs and collected at the kerbside as bulky waste. This may mean that some materials are soiled and / or wet.

This Procurement exercise is being run by the Authority's e-tendering portal Bravo Solutions https://etenderwales.bravosolution.co.uk.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the Authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations.
