Abstract

Cyngor Gwynedd is seeking suitable contractors to carry out the inspection and testing of portable electrical appliances across various Council buildings, schools, care homes, and other properties. This service is required to ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. Testing will be conducted in accordance with the IEE Code of Practice. The properties are located across Gwynedd divided into three distinct lots; Arfon, Meirionnydd and Dwyfor (See Appendix 1 map of locations and Appendix 2 Addresses). In light of this, we have decided to withdraw the current RFQ and instead develop a framework agreement that will better accommodate our service requirements across the relevant sites. We also acknowledge that some sites operate with full budget autonomy and may choose not to participate in the framework. As such, the framework will be structured as an optional route to market, providing flexibility for sites to engage as needed.
