The Retail Consultant will need to review the following commercial activities at Amgueddfa Cymru:
• Retail proposition – Identify gaps and opportunities across the retail offer, alignment of offer with audience, and opportunities to create new revenue streams.
• Review developed product, supply chain and opportunities for greater efficiencies.
• Location and store aesthetic – Review current store locations, layouts and designs, highlight changes and investment required to deliver growth and better suit our visitors needs and expectations.
• Assess standard of stores visual treatments and their alignment with target audience.
• Resource – Carry out a full and discrete operational review, focusing on commercial hierarchy, structure, business needs and productivity.
• E-commerce – Are there opportunities to deliver incremental growth through the addition of an online proposition?
• To review ACNMW newly developed brand opportunities, it’s alignment with the museum audience, how it’s supported across the retail offer, signage, labelling and ticketing of merchandise, shop treatments, store narrative and tone of voice. Retail operations and staff behaviours. (This may possibly be approached as a separate piece of work)
Key deliverables
• To deliver a report outlining recommendations for improvements to our retail shops, proposition, and operational resource.
• Indicative costs to realise recommendations.
• Produce robust set of business KPI’s to measure business performance.
