Tender for the appointment of a Principal Contractor for Communal Refurbishment & Fire Safety Improvements at Buckley House & Powell's Place, Welshpool.

Works to include internal and external improvements to the communal areas, complete replacement of internal wooden staircases with prefabricated steel alternative, that also provides 1 hour fire compartmentation to electrical risers. Provision of new communal front entrance doors and video entry system, external decked seating areas, landscaping of grounds and pathways. Full redecoration of internal areas.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

The minimum requirements of the tender are as follows:

- Constructionline Silver registration with work categories relevant to the subject matter of the contract.

- Safety Schemes in Procurement accredited or fully compliant with an equivalent scheme.

- Demonstrable experience of delivering contract(s) of a similar nature.

- Provide copies of full audited accounts, including profit and loss accounts and balance sheet, for the most recently completed financial year to be assessed as described within the tender documentation.

- Insurances are required as follows:

- Public & Product Liability Insurance - £5,000,000.

- Employers Liability Insurance - £5,000,000

- Acceptance of the JCT Minor Works Building Contract 2016 with Schedule of Amendments (as found under Appendix 4 in the Attachments Area of the Portal).

Any Tenderers who fail to meet the minimum requirements will have their tender response rejected and not further evaluated by the Council.
