Abstract
The National Procurement Service currently manages an Occupational Health and Associated Services Framework Agreement (NPS-PSU-0091-18) on behalf of the Welsh Public Sector. The Framework was awarded in April 2019 and is due to expire on 31st March 2023.
In light of the COVID 19 pandemic demand for Occupational Health Doctors has been steadily increasing with capacity diminishing across Wales (particularly in relation to face 2 face consultations, which is a mandatory requirement of some customer organisations).
Due to imminent customer contract expiry NPS are publishing this speculative notice under the exception permitted in Regulation 32(2)(c) (direct award due to reasons of extreme urgency) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 with the intention of direct awarding contracts to any suppliers that pass the mandatory Framework requirements and who may be able to support with additional capacity for Occupational Health Doctors in Wales.
Particular consideration will be given to suppliers who are able to offer face 2 face consultations mainly in the South Wales region. This notice will be live until 6th December with the intention contracts will be awarded 1st January for a period of 15 months to 31st March 2023. At this time suppliers will be able to tender for a place on the Framework at renewal stage.
