Resurvey and Report on Highway Verge Conservation Zones in the Vale of Glamorgan

Description of the goods or services required

To undertake a botanical survey of all the existing HVCZ’s noting the presence of species and their abundance (DAFOR) and note any management of the verge and any hedgerows.

To survey a small number (no more than around 5) candidate HVCZ’s.

To compare the results of the survey with previous surveys to report on species loss/gain.

To recommend management for each HVCZ.

To write a report detailing all the above and to give recommendations for future monitoring.
