Abstract

Tenderers are invited to submit a bid for the supply and installation of the infrastructure for 2no EV charging installations at Tir y Berth Depot and Ty Penallta. The scope of the project is fully described in the Procurement Documents but in summary the scope is: - The Contractor shall supply and install all required infrastructure to allow the installation of EV chargers at 2no corporate sites; - Tir y Berth Depot will have 7no twin 7kW PodPoint EV Chargers; - Ty Penallta will have 15no twin 7kW PodPoint EV Chargers; - PodPoint shall supply load array management modules and free issue to the Contractor. The Contractor shall allow for installing as per the PodPoint installation instructions; - The Contractor shall be responsible for procuring a new dedicated WPD supply at Tir y Berth Depot for the EV charger installation. This shall include the supply and installation of a new GRP enclosure; - The Contractor shall supply and install all required protective devices, cabling, panel boards, distribution boards and groundworks required for all EV chargers; - The Contractor shall employ a specialist Groundworks Contractor to carry out all required groundworks, draw-pits, ducting, cable pulling and reinstatement; - The specialist Groundworks Contractor shall be responsible for forming new roadways, parking bays and EV markings (paint) as per the associated drawings; - Caerphilly CBC shall employ PodPoint direct to supply, install and commission all twin 7kW EV Chargers. The Contractor shall be responsible for all other works to leave fully operational EV charging stations; - The Contractor shall allow for all PodPoint enabling works as per PP-DCom-FC-031-1 – June 2021 within the tender price; - The successful Contractor shall provide a programme of works to the Contract Administrator.

2 Contract Details

2.1

Title

Corporate Buildings - EV Charger Installations (Tir y Berth & Ty Penallta)

Description of the goods or services required

Bidders will be required to detail within their tender submission what actions their organisation will commit to undertake to meet the Well Being Goals within the Well Being of Future Generations Act 2015 if awarded the business.
