Abstract

Evaluation Requirements Horticulture Wales seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of Horticulture Wales against its defined aims. In fulfilment of this brief, the contractor will be required to: A Develop an appropriate methodology for evaluating the Horticulture Wales project. B Evaluate the impact and effectiveness of Horticulture Wales, in terms of: The management and governance of the project Communications and marketing of the project Engagement with Welsh Government and other stakeholders Complementarity with other RDP/horticulture/supply chain initiatives Alignment and delivery against RDP cross-cutting themes Effect of COVID-19 on the delivery of Horticulture Wales The effectiveness of the project in: facilitating cluster member collaboration and blending growing technology with traditional methods encouraging Welsh SMEs to develop products for home and export in two main areas: niche crops and heritage orchard fruit. creating improved access to local produce, stronger supply-chains and increased collaboration. raising the profile of Welsh growers, horticulturalists and producers. promoting knowledge exchange in Welsh Horticulture. signposting members to potential funding sources. promoting Welsh horticultural produce. The impact of the project on cluster members; Welsh growers, horticulturalists and producers more broadly. Succession and options for future support to Welsh growers, horticulturalists and producers. There will be the need for an interim and final valuation report. Interim report by end of Jan 2023 Final report by end of June 2023

Horticulture Wales seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of Horticulture Wales against its defined aims.

In fulfilment of this brief, the contractor will be required to:
