Abstract

Cleaning empty properties following property being brought up to minimum letting standard. Tenderers need to pay particular attention to the specification as not all the properties which require cleaning, will have electricity connected and none of the properties have hot water. Some specialist equipment will be required such as Temporary lighting which needs to be battery operated, etc. Currently Swansea Council carries out the service required with Council employees but it has been decided now to advertise the tender. A Key Performance indicator will be the 24 hour turnaround, this is a condition being awarded the tender. Monitoring of the service provided will be on-going with “Spot-Checks” carried out on the properties, plus all properties are inspected by the Housing Officer prior to letting. Quantities expected between 15-30 per week (Not Guaranteed) Contractor will be required to supply all materials and equipment in line with the method statement and requirements of the tender. We have above supplied an average Square Meter age measurement for the properties requested for pricing. These are an average size per property, some properties will be smaller some will be larger but it provides an idea for pricing. The Council will not accept any additional charges for a variation in property sizes.
