Abstract

Swansea Council is seeking to appoint a provider to deliver services for the provision of substance use support for young people in Swansea. The Service will be based in Swansea Youth Justice Service to work with young people between the ages of 10 and 17 (to the end of their order if they go past 18) The purpose of the Service is: To provide comprehensive specialist assessments and deliver intervention programmes to engage, support and advise young people with substance use issues Provide support and training to other members of the Youth Justice Service team Improve the health and wellbeing of young people by reducing drug and alcohol use.

Description of the goods or services required

Swansea Council is seeking to appoint a provider to deliver services for the provision of substance use support for young people in Swansea.

The Service will be based in Swansea Youth Justice Service to work with young people between the ages of 10 and 17 (to the end of their order if they go past 18)

The purpose of the Service is:

To provide comprehensive specialist assessments and deliver intervention programmes to engage, support and advise young people with substance use issues

Minimum standards and qualification required

Experience of working within the field of substance/alcohol use, we are looking for at least twelve month experience of working with young people. Experience of liaison and networking with a cross section of agencies and individuals. Awareness of other services available to support young people who use substances. Experience of delivering training and/or group-work

— Click on the ITT code. You can now access any attachments by clicking the “Settings and Buyer Attachments” in the “Actions” box.

3. Responding to the invitation to tender:

— You can now choose to “Reply” or “Reject” (please give a reason if rejecting).

— You can now use the “Messages” function to communicate with the buyer and seek any clarification.

— Note the deadline for completion, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the ITT.
