Abstract

Liverpool Hope University is seeking tenders for the supply, implementation and support of a Library Management System (LMS) and Discovery Tool solution.

The system should; replace the functions provided by existing University systems; combine search results from multiple sources; allow access to all of the functions via a single menu screen and customisable dashboard; once logged on to the menu screen, there should be no further requirement to enter username or password; incorporate the management of and access to print and electronic resources and other forms of content as appropriate; provide an improved workflow via unified task management; provide timely and accurate management information; be agile in responding to changes in the academic library environment; interface with existing University systems and be compatible with mobile devices.

We would expect delivery of the project to commence in January 2018 with implementation expected to occur in August 2018 following an agreed period of testing which would cover all of the required functions of the solution and the interfaces to the designated Liverpool Hope University systems.
