Abstract

Our requirement is for A Framework Agreement for the provision of External Step & Platform Lifts & Through Floor Lifts with a fully comprehensive warranty for defects in materials and workmanship, which shall be in place for the Service User for 5 years We request the winning bidder supply and install (including lifetime service and warranty) new electric stairlift and associated building works to Council and Private dwellings County Wide. Various property types of Private and Council House dwellings throughout the City & County of Swansea. All installation, servicing, repairs and maintenance and works relating to the Equipment must be compliant with the following standards: 1. Through floor lifts - BS5900: 2012 compliant 2. Steplifts - BS 6440: 2011 compliant There will be occasions when the Contracting Authority wishes to replace existing equipment. This equipment will be old and obsolete or it will be equipment that has failed and beyond economical repair. In such circumstances, the Supplier will receive instruction to replace the equipment and dispose of the exisiting unit.

Description of the goods or services required

Our requirement is for A Framework Agreement for the provision of External Step & Platform Lifts & Through Floor Lifts with a fully comprehensive warranty for defects in materials and workmanship, which shall be in place for the Service User for 5 years We request the winning bidder supply and install (including lifetime service and warranty) new electric stairlift and associated building works to Council and Private dwellings County Wide. Various property types of Private and Council House dwellings throughout the City & County of Swansea.

All installation, servicing, repairs and maintenance and works relating to the Equipment must be compliant with the following standards:

1. Through floor lifts - BS5900: 2012 compliant

2. Steplifts - BS 6440: 2011 compliant

There will be occasions when the Contracting Authority wishes to replace existing equipment. 3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

The warranty shall also include servicing of the Equipment in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines, and a breakdown service that will respond on the same day, and to emergencies within 4 hours, 365 days a year. receipt of a grant for the Equipment and the Services. The Supplier’s liability to maintain, repair and remove Equipment will continue beyond the requirement to install the Equipment for the Service User for a 5 year period. The Service Users are located in dwellings throughout the City and County of Swansea. The installation of Equipment will not be grouped for convenience. Through floor lifts and step/platform lifts - The Supplier shall arrange for the removal of the Equipment no later than 20 Working Days from receipt of instructions from the Contracting Authority, the relevant Service User or their agent or family member unless specified to the contrary. The Supplier’s staff may be working with vulnerable adults. As such, the Contracting Authority requires that all of the Supplier’s staff including agency or temporary staff, who are engaged in installing Equipment have had a standard DBS check prior to attending at a Service User’s dwelling

3. Responding to the invitation to tender:

— You can now choose to “Reply” or “Reject” (please give a reason if rejecting).

— You can now use the “Messages” function to communicate with the buyer and seek any clarification.

— Note the deadline for completion, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the ITT.
