The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender. The Trust must renew its contract for Support services for its Patient Care System before the expiry of the current contract on 31.3.2016. Without contracted support services in place the Trust would be exposing patients to an unacceptable risk to their care and safety. Owing to the urgency of the situation time-limits have been reduced in-line with 27 (5) of the Public Contract Regulations 2015.
