Short description of the contract or purchase(s)
Liverpool Hope University is pleased to invite tenders for the provision of waste management services to the University. The University is seeking a service which helps advance, promote and deliver sustainable recycling and waste management practices, which actively manages waste via the waste hierarchy. The University is currently sending ‘zero waste to landfill’ and expects this to continue.
This tender is split up into 2 lots:
Lot 1 — General Waste
(Lot 1 includes general waste and source segregated recyclates)
Lot 2 — Skips
Potential Providers may tender for more than 1 Lot and may be awarded contracts for 1 or both Lots. Potential providers may sub-contract as long as they make this clear in their tender.
The contract be will for an initial period of 3 years with the option to extend by a further 1 year subject to mutual acceptance. The maximum contract duration shall therefore be 4 years.

Information About Lots

General Waste |
1)

Short Description
This lot is for the provision of the recycling and waste collection and treatment at the University. The University currently has general waste and mixed recycling containers which are collected on a scheduled basis; but also has a 35 cu yd general waste compactor, a caged container for paper/card collection, a 20 cu yd WEEE container and a 7ft lamp container which are collected on an ad-hoc/on-demand basis. The University is looking to introduce food waste collections in the future.

This lot is for the provision of the skips and their collection and treatment at the University. The University currently has a permanent 20 cu yd skip at its Hope Park Campus for the collection of waste from refurbishments and its gardens, which is collected on an ad-hoc/on-demand basis. The University also occasionally requires additional skips (4, 8 or 40 cu yd) in other campus locations.
