Short description of the contract or purchase(s)
The purpose of this Storage and Backup tender, is to identify and subsequently implement IT Services that replace the existing capabilities around 2 primary lots: Enterprise Storage Services and Enterprise Backup, Recovery and Archive Services.
The current storage and backup services are based on a number of technologies distributed across key sites within the YTL Utilities (UK) estate. This includes NetApp, IBM, HP and Brocade technologies that provide various Storage Area Network and Direct Attached Storage services and backup and recovery capabilities.

Lodging of appeals
For contracts subject to the Utilities Contracts Regulations Wessex Water Services Limited will incorporate a standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into.
Any request by tenderers for further information during the standstill period must be sent in writing to the address stated in section I.1) of this notice.
The Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 (SI 2016 No 274) as amended apply, provision is made for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England).
