The University Hospitals of Leicester are seeking to contract with a third party supplier or suppliers, for the provision of repairs and/or refurbishment of surgical instruments utilised by the Trust.
The Trust currently employs a third party supplier for the decontamination of its surgical instruments.
The supplier will be required to collect and deliver surgical instrument(s) from and to the third party's premises, based in Leicestershire, as part of the provision of the service.
Due to the separate Lots, this contract will be set-up as a framework.

This Lot contains items such as Micro Instruments, Diamond Knives, Vessel Dilators and similar specialist equipment.
The required repair standard is that of an instrument being made safe and fit for its intended purpose as deemed by the customer and Contract Manager after inspection.
Repairs for Specialist Surgical Equipment will be variable and the supplier is requested to offer different pricing based on the level of repair being offered as detailed in the Offer Schedule.

The Trust requires a supplier to offer a surgical instrument tray refurbishment service to prolong the life of its instrumentation and reduce the requirement for instrument repairs.
