Abstract

Combining the need to accelerate home-building with the principles laid out in the 5 year Forward View, the Healthy New Towns programme explores how new development can achieve better health outcomes.

One of the main legacies of the Healthy New Towns programme will be a guidance publication. The purpose of the guidance is to enable future housing developments create the conditions and systems for better health outcomes in the most effective way.

Each support partner will lead the co-development of their respective part of the publication and contribute to the overarching approach and output of the guidance. This will include collating content provided by others (the research outputs from the demonstrator sites and external sources) and devising fresh content for the domain overviews.
