For the avoidance of doubt, this concession award notice is published in accordance with regulation 32 of The Concession Contracts Regulations 2016 (SI 2016/273) in advance of The Council of the City of Wakefield (the “Contracting Authority”) entering in to a concession contract (the “Contract”) with Engie Power Ltd (the “Concessionaire”) in respect of the above aforementioned services.
The services were procured in 2018 by West Yorkshire Combined Authority (the “Combined Authority”) in accordance with The Concession Contracts Regulations 2016 (publishing a concession notice (2018/S 135-309693) in the Official Journal of the European Union (“OJEU”) on 17.7.2018 and a concession award notice (2019/S 035-079903) in the OJEU on 14.2.2019). The Contracting Authority was named as a “Partner Council” and participating body to the combined Authority’s procurement in the concession notice and concession award notice.
Following conclusion of the combined Authority’s procurement of the services, this concession award notice is additional to the combined Authority’s concession award notice and confirms the Contracting Authority’s intention to enter into the contract with the concessionaire.
