Parliament requires a supplier who has a specific expertise and experience in the cleaning of Service Distribution Points (SDPs), Data Centres and Secondary IT Rooms.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Parliamentary Estate consists of 13 buildings in the heart of Westminster, the majority of which are listed buildings and include the Palace of Westminster as a Grade 1 listed building and an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Whilst this contract does not cover all the most sensitive heritage areas on the Parliamentary Estate, the Contractor will be delivering this service within listed buildings and a heritage environment. The Estate has both historic and valuable fixtures, fittings, furniture and art works, and contractors will be working within close proximity of these items. Cleaning methods, products and equipment must be suitable for working in this kind of environment and adhere to specified standards. The service comprises of periodical "deep" and "normal" type of cleaning for 112 Service Distribution Points (SDPs, Data Centres and Frame Rooms). This scope could fluctuate in locations and numbers.
