No tenders or no suitable tenders/requests to participate in response to negotiated procedure with prior publication of a contract notice
Explanation:
The DE&S Marine Systems Support Team, Part of UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) intends to award a contract to Northrup Grumman Sperry Marine (Northrop Grumman Corporation│Mission Systems│Sperry Marine) (“the Company”) for the supply of Machinery Control and Surveillance Systems (MCAS) main controls and systems spares, repairs and support — Hunt MCAS.This requirement originally formed Lot 4 of MSS/043, advertised on 14.8.2018 under notice 2018/S 158-363490 in the OJEU. The contract value of Lot 4 is estimated between 750 000 GBP and 2 000 000 GBP.
It is considered that this contract can be placed using the negotiated procedure without notice pursuant to Article 28(1)(b) of Directive 2009/81/EC (Regulation 16(1)(f) of the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011). The Authority received only one bid, from the company, which was however unacceptable. The terms of the proposed contract offered in the discontinued procedure for Lot 4 will not be substantially altered during the negotiations.
