The CLF requires a set of LBO Crystals for OPA Amplification for the TAP Beamline Project. These are the primary amplification media for the TAP Beamline project. They would look like a piece of glass, but the particular characteristics of LBO enable the transfer of energy from an almost co-linear pump beam to the seed beam.

Please note that unfortunately due to an unforeseen need to change the specification, which would materially change the current requirement, it is UKRI’s intention to abandon this procurement. We hereby notify you of its immediate cancellation on behalf of UKRI. It is UKRI’s intention to launch a new procurement with a new specification as soon as possible.
The Contracting Authority expressly reserves the right (i) not to award any contract as a result of the procurement process commenced by publication of this notice; and (ii) to make whatever changes it may see fit to the content and structure of the procurement; and in no circumstances will the Contracting Authority be liable for any costs incurred by any Supplier. If the Contracting authority decides to enter into a contract with the successful supplier, this does not mean that there is any guarantee of subsequent contracts being awarded. Any expenditure, work or effort undertaken prior to contract award is accordingly a matter solely for the commercial judgement of bidders. All submissions will be assessed in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, for procurement values that exceed Regulation 5 (Threshold amounts).
